When retail seems to have a larger economic crisis (even before the Corona-crisis came), the sales of second hand are growing. Last year, Tradera, sold more than 10 million items, for the first time, according to their annual report! Among the top search-words within fashion were Louis Vuitton, Rodebjer, Gucci, Acne, Ganni and Filippa K. Several other sites, like Blocket, seems to have some of the same brands in the top of search words.

According to another study by the Swedish Public radio the sales of second hand, among some of the most common organisation in civil society, increased with 15% last year.

Maybe in the near future we will be able to follow these search words and make predictions regarding the demand for certain brands? Maybe buying stocks won’t be the best way to make an investment? You will instead chose to buy Acne and Louis Vuitton second hand, use the items, while waiting for the demand to peak on the second hand market and sell it!

Who knows, with current trends a vintage quality bag might be the best investment you can do for your closet, future generations and your pocket.
