Hi Farah, welcome to A Sustainable Closet, please tell us more about yourself, who are and what do you do.
Thank you! I'm 34 years old and live just outside of Malmö with my family. My favourite thing to do in the summer is gardening. This year I put all of my effort into growing flowers. Next year it will be tomatoes. In the winter I love cold baths in Öresund. But I have to have a sauna close by, I'm not that brave. I've been working at Sveriges Radio since 2012 and SVT since 2014 as a TV- and radio host.
What is your interest in clothes and fashion?
I can't say that I have big interest, but I love to have beautiful clothes. I usually describe my style as a colourful nobleman from the 17th century. I love frills, lace and pink.
How would you describe your closet?
A have a big closet but it's kind of messy. Once a year I'll go through it and keep the things I love and sell the things I don't use anymore. I never throw anything away. Things that can't be sold or donated get returned to H&M recycle bin.
Do you have any favourite stores or brands that you like and why is that?
I love Danish designers, colourful and fun fashion. I often use Kajsa Beakmark as my stylist, she is Swedish and works in Denmark, which is the best of two worlds. She has a great sense of style.
What is your view on sustainability and fashion?
Clothes want to be used so use your clothes and change outfits with your friends. I love buying clothes from different Facebook groups.
What do you believe needs to change?
We need to start using the clothes we buy, buy more second-hand, rent party pieces and buy less.
