Where to get pre-loved outfits for New Years

Photo: Amy Shamblen

New Years this year might not take place on a spectacular party with hundres of people drinking cocktails and dancing closely all night long. It might be with a few selected people, maybe only some family members at home in the same kitchen you spent 2020 working from. But that is not a reason to feel sad or keep on wearing your leisure and sportswear. You can still sparkle and shine for you own sake. Or maybe for your partner that has mostly seen you in your pyjamas?

There’s several second hand shops or rental services that are still open. Many of them are also offering flexible ways to shop. You can for example write on Instagram, tell them which item you want to buy and pick it up at the store without entering.

Just because we should stay away from indoor environments it doesn’t mean that you can’t pick a new outfit.

Here are some favourite second hand items from Arkivet and ReRobe, still open in Gothenburg and Stockholm before New Years or why not renting a dress this weekend from Gemme Collective?
