Pack Your Orders Sustainably

In paid collaboration with Woola

Are you running your own business? Maybe you’re an employee at a big or small corp shipping packages on a daily basis? Or a private person who likes sending gifts to your friends and family, or buying, selling and swapping clothes and items online? Whoever you are and whatever job you have, we believe it’s about time we let the world know single use plastic packaging belongs to the past, right?

Everyday millions of packages are being shipped around the globe, some are packed in paper envelopes, some in plastic bags and we are slowly starting to see mailing bags made from recycled materials, seaweed, cassava, sugar canes and wool! Yes, you read that right. Great innovations and better alternatives are popping up on the market to pack more sustainably.

Do you want your product/gift or whatever it might be, to be packed in an eco-friendly way? Yet taking a step towards a better future? We have listed three forerunners on the field that we think you should know about and start using.

Woola – Recycled paper envelopes made of sheep's wool which can be customized with your logo. This is what we call innovation! Woola uses the around 200 000 tonnes of surplus sheep wool being left unused (and burned) in Europe yearly, to produce wool bubble wrap and mailing envelopes better for the planet.

This waste wool is considered as “low quality” and not suitable for yarn making and therefore it goes to waste, but not anymore! Woola furthermore only work with farms that take good care of their sheep,

But, why wool? Well, wool is a naturally high-tech fibre. Its elasticity, water repellency, and resistance to extreme temperatures make wool a perfect material for packing fragile items that need extra cushioning. The envelopes are durable and can be reused multiple times. Woola is currently also setting up a return system to keep the precious material in the loop.

Evoware - Evoware is a sustainable packaging company creating a world without plastic pollution. By scaling circular solutions, and igniting collaborative movements; they are re-thinking and replacing single-use plastic. All their products are made from renewable sources such as seaweed, cassava, rice, sugarcane waste or palm leaves. Their biodegradable mailing bags can be used several times and carry up to 2 kilograms.

RePack - RePack bags are designed to be reused. RePack is made from post-waste recycled polypropylene (RPP) sourced from recycled fridges, air conditioners, and food containers, turned into a strong thread used to produce reusable RePacks.. Fully certified. They are easy to open, fill, fold and return to reuse. Again and again. We would love to say that you can reuse a RePack forever but that might be an exaggeration. Just like a good suitcase, a RePack bag will last years and handle dozens of trips all over the world. The packaging exists to move things around and protect them. We understood the assignment. We provide various sealing options that fit various packaging needs and set-ups. Tape, document pouches or sealing stickers, all ensure that your parcels arrive untouched.

Do not hesitate to reach out to these companies if you have questions regarding production, ordering or whatever comes to mind. You may also follow them on Instagram to never miss out on updates and special happenings. @woolapackaging, @evowareworld, @originalrepack.

Let’s ship sustainably!
