A brand that most people might not associate with sustainability is Baum Und Pferdgarten. They have a five year plan with several commitments regarding Transparency, Forward-Thinking Products, Plastic, Ethical & Fair and Customer Engagement. In each area they have developed aspects and goals on how to make their brand more sustainable. The lovely thing about this, is the transparency for the costumer to see if they think it’s good enough. It also says a lot about the brand, what areas they find mostly important but also what they mean when talking about sustainability. It’s very positive that people who doesn’t know much about textile clothing can still follow and see that a company has to work with both materials, working conditions and transparency, all at ones. You can also see that in terms of chemicals and plastic they have come quite far but much more work is needed regarding the materials. They also keep their policies official, they have mapped their business towards the Global Goals and they have explained what their own “We Care” hangtags means.

Impressing and we shall see if they manage to reach their goals in 2024.
