Clothes useful for cultural differences

Fix-DSC00129.jpg

I have a small section of my closet that are “travel-clothes” and when I say travel-clothes, I don’t mean fancy dresses for Ibiza, costumes for New York or chic city clothes for Paris, I’m talking about cultural adaptation. I spent a lot of years abroad, several months in countries like Kenya, Indonesia, Malaysia and India. People often ask me how it is to travel as a female to these places. Fine, I say. I never had a bad experience even if I respect that others had it and that some societies have a stronger patriarchy than others. I dress according to what I feel comfortable in and it normally leads to less hassel. If this is right or wrong, you can reflect upon, but for me I want to have a culture experience and that’s why I adopt - to learn. These closet has been with me for a long time, they’re not fancy but I like them because they suit the natural och cultural climate of the place I visit.

Do you adopt your style according to where you are?
