Why we love them: High quality basics that won't ruin either your wallet or planet. The two sister brand that strive to make a change by producing fair clothes. Covid-19 has hit them hard and they had to close two stores down, but hey, they’re still here and we’re so happy to include Goat in our sustainable community.

What is Goat and why did you start?

Goat is a green, honest and vegan basic fashion brand. We started it because we wanted to make sustainability accessible by offering a good price and day to day wear.

What is your sustainability profile?

Green, honest and vegan with an extra taking action platform that goes beyond only selling our collection, but really making a difference and educating people.

How and where are the products produced?

Everything is produced in Bangladesh with GOTS and Fair Wear certification.

Which is your most sold product?

Alex White Tee.

Where does goat find its inspiration?

It’s all around us. Animals, nature and people inspire us to do more and do better.

What have been and are the major challenges?

Covid-19 of course. We had to close two Goat stores in Amsterdam. So financially we had a major set back.

What has been and are the largest gain?

My twin sister and I always had a feeling we wanted to change the world and leave it better. So spiritual gain is the most valuable because we are making a difference.

What do you think needs to change in the fashion industry to make it more sustainable?

I think price and accessibility is the most important. A lot of people want to be sustainable but can’t afford it and will go to H&M to get cheap clothing.

What is the best thing about Goat?

Our taking action platform and our quality. Our prices are insanely cheap if you feel the quality.
